January might seem like an odd time to publish a guide to music festivals we’re looking forward to in Ohio in 2019. But Brite Winter will be celebrating its 10th anniversary in Cleveland in a matter of weeks, and that’s got us excited about the year ahead in fests.
There’s something for just about everybody — and every musical taste — on the 2019 schedule, from big outdoor parties to smaller, indoor showcases.
Northeast Ohio’ premier outdoor festival, LaureLive, will announce its 2019 lineup of acts this month. It will be back for its fourth year June 8-9, at Laurel’s School’s Butler Campus.
Another highlight will be the Sonic Temple Art and Music Festival May 17-19 at Mapfre Stadium in Columbus, with headliners System Of A Down, Foo Fighters and Disturbed.
Camp Anarchy will take place May 31-June 2 at Legend Valley in Thornville, Ohio, with punk headliners The Offspring, Rancid and NOFX.
The big Bunbury Music Festival hasn’t announced its lineup yet, but takes place that same weekend in Cincinnati.
There are many, many more. This music festival guide spans the entire year, though most events take place in the warmer months. In total, we’ve collected 43 music festivals taking place in every corner of the state in 2019.
