Ohio Gas prices average at $2.07 which is 12 cents less than a week ago and 37 cents less than prices a month ago, according to AAA statement.
That means Ohio ranks within the top 10 states for least expensive gas in the country.
Across the country, the national average is $2.37. This is a nickel less than the national average a week ago, 26 cents less than last month and six cents less than last year’s average, according to AAA.
The prices are expected to continue to decline.
Jenifer Moore, senior specialist in public and government affairs for AAA, announced in the statement a new AAA discount, which can affect about 59 million members who use AAA’s automotive, travel and insurance services.
The discount will further decrease the cost of gas by 5 cents through Dec. 31, 2019, when someone buys from Shell through the Fuel Rewards program, according to the statement. This program is nationwide.
