President Donald Trump held a slight lead over former Vice President Joe Biden in updated returns Tuesday from voting for president from across the state.
The unofficial results, posted by the Ohio Secretary of State with nearly 50% of precincts counted, showed Trump, the Republican candidate, with 50.5% of the vote. Biden, the Democratic challenger, had 48.18%.
The remaining votes were split between candidates from the Libertarian and Green parties.
The results are drawn from reports from boards of elections in Ohio’s 88 counties. At 9:55 p.m. the state reported votes had been tallied in 4,436 of 8,933 precincts across Ohio.
