CLEVELAND, Ohio — It’s a warm start for the work week in Northeast Ohio, with temperatures expected to reach the mid-80s on Monday with mostly sunny skies.
Sunday brought a bit of a break, with the high in Cleveland at 79 and 80 in Akron. However, it remained humid.
The humidity will hang around Monday and that will push the heat index close to 90 degrees in Cleveland, but it will stay closer to the mid-80s in Akron.
Clouds will move into the region beginning later in the afternoon, and by Monday night there is a good chance of showers and thunderstorms. Showers and thunderstorms are likely by Tuesday morning.
Low temperatures will stay in the low to mid-70s overnight in both Akron and Cleveland.
