Much of eastern Iowa and northwest Illinois will be under either a winter weather advisory or a winter storm warning Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
Winter storm warnings have been issued for Jackson County, Iowa, and Jo Daviess County, Ill., beginning at 3 a.m. Sunday and continuing until midnight. Rain will give way to snow, with 4 to 8 inches expected in some areas.
Delaware and Dubuque counties are under a winter weather advisory beginning at midnight Saturday and continuing through midnight Sunday. Four to 8 inches of snow are expected.
Blizzard-like conditions are possible in all areas impacted by the storm, according to the National Weather Service. The storm will produce strong winds and blowing snow.
